We were expecting 60,000 visitors at the AMB 2008 but the actual number was 85,000 (70 per cent more than AMB 2006). Based on exhibition area and visitor numbers, the AMB thus positioned itself as the most successful industry trade fair this year. Exhibitors at the AMB were impressed by the large number of visitors, their level of expertise and their precise objectives: three out of four visitors stated firm intentions to invest or purchase at the AMB. In doing so, more than half wanted to spend more than EUR 100,000. A total of 1306 exhibitors were pleased to embrace these intentions. The Chairmen of the Precision Tools and Software Associations in the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) and the Association of German Machine Tool Manufacturers (VDW) - our non-material sponsors - described the feedback from their member companies as "highly satisfactory" and expect the AMB to further enhance its status as a leading trade fair in the future.

The quality of exhibits and the outstanding infrastructure of the new exhibition site meet the highest standards. Our team is already working on matching these standards at the next AMB event. We are confi dent that in 2010 we will again deliver a highly effective, state-of-the-art presentation platform for your products and services.
