Grey Iron 2PVS "Flocast" 2PVS is a specially developed cast iron inoculated with nickel, chrome and molybdenum. 2PVS is used for the manufacture of products with a requirement for increased tensile strength and resistance to growth or creep at elevated operating temperatures. A typical application for this grade of iron is automotive valve seats although users must be satisfied of the product suitability for unleaded petrol and gas fuelled engines which run hotter and with reduced lubrication.
