AWS A 5. 1: E 7024

FERROMATIC T

APPLICATIONS/ PROPERTIES:

Heavy coated rutile high- efficiency electrodes with

160% metal recovery. Suitable for container and

storage vessel construction, filler and capping

runs of multi- layer weldments. Good notch

toughness, automatic striking and re- striking,

bead can be drawn out. Excellent deslagging

characteristics.

MATERIALS:

BRITISH STEELS

Sheet, plate & strip: BS 1449: Pt. 1: 1991 All

grades up to & including 400 MPa yield strength

and 500 MPa tensile strength.

Pressure vessels plate: BS EN 10028- 2:

1993 All grades up to P295GH and steels 161-

360, 161- 400, 161- 430

BS EN 10028- 3: 1993 grades P275N, P355N

Structural Steels: BS EN 10025: 1993 All

grades up to S355JO

GERMAN STEELS

Non- alloyed boiler plate: St 33 to St 52- 3, HI,

H II, 17Mn 4

Fine grained steels: StE 255 to StE 355

Cast steels: GS- 38 to GS- 52

Shipbuilding steels: A, B & D

Note: Basic coated electrodes may be preferable for

certain applications.
