APPLICATIONS/ PROPERTIES:

Medium- coated, rutile type electrode especially

suitable for light gauge sheet welding. When fillet

welding, the Fincord M electrode can be kept in

contact with the workpiece with no resultant

excess convexity. Very little spatter loss. Smooth

bead appearance.

Sheet, plate & strip: BS 1449: Pt. 1: 1991 All

grades up to & including 350MPa yield strength

and 430 MPa tensile strength.

Pressure vessel plate: BS EN 10028- 2:

1993 All grades up to P295GH and steels 161-

360, 161- 400, 161- 430

Structural Steels: BS EN 10025: 1993 Grades

S185, S235, S235JR & S275JR

BS EN 10210- 1: 1994 Grades S235JRH,

S275JOH

GERMAN STEELS

Non- alloyed structural steels: St 33 to St 52- 3,

Boiler Plate: H I, H II, 17 Mn 4

Tube Steel: Up to St 52. 4, St 35. 8 to 17Mn 4

StE 210. 7 to StE 360. 7 including the

corresponding TM grades.

Fine grained steels: StE 255 to StE 355

Cast steels: GS- 38 to GS- 52

Note: Basic coated electrodes may be preferable

for low hydrogen applications.
