Offer Description - License Continuous Chrome
Place of Origin: Spain Brand Name: Micracro CCT
License to exploit continuous chrome technology patent to manufacture hard chrome plated bars
Micracr? is based in Madrid (Spain) and dedicated to manufacture and buy hard chrome plated bars, mainly for hydraulic cylinders.
We have a proprietary and patent protected Continuous Chromium Technology - CCT and we having been using it for 10 years.
We have decided to share our knowledge through Licensing CCT to firms interested on it. In fact the learning process can be quite fast because we have our own facilities to train our customer?s people in a real working process.
Continuous Chrome Technology is the most advanced process for any company focused on manufacturing or buying hard chrome plating for steel bars who wants to stay profitable at long term, increase margins and be ahead of its competitors.
The advantages that CCT offers related to traditional plating methods are as follow:
Improved distribution and lower consumption of electrical current.
Improved control of the hydrogen produced.
Improved control of the solutions in the tank and the quality of the bath.
Improved control of the environment impact.
Lower consumption of chrome.
The continuity ensures a constant high quality surface coating because the layer of chromium deposit remains constant and concentric both along and around the bars.
The process can be monitored and adjusted as desired (current density, temperature, speed of the bars, thickness, and velocity of flow of electrolyte, among others) .
There is the possibility to plate long and thin bars without surface tension which however does not happen in the conventional open bath method.
The density of chrome increases due to the reduced working pressure and so the size of the grain becomes smaller. Adhesion between the coating and base metal also improves because the flow of electrolyte separates the hydrogen from the metal base, which in turn decrease of porosity.
Improving the roughness of the coating in a 10- 20% depending on the conditions of work developed.
Increase the effectiveness of the process, so the deposit rate is higher (5- 10% more efficiently than the conventional system) .
The possibility of chrome bars regardless of the length.
The possibility of chrome bars with a diameter of 16 to 130 mm . The current design in the facilities of Micra is among ?16 to 55 mm .
The accuracy of the deposited amount of chromium requires just a slight grinding of about 2 to 3 microns. In this way, damaging and costly process of grinding the end of the chrome surface is avoided.
Improved quality of the coating. The concentric accuracy of the chrome tank, along with the correct operation of polishing, allows a corrosion- resistant coating of 100 hours in a saline spray environment, according to ASTM, with rating "9".
Among other items you can find included in the basic licensing package:
License to use, replicate and develop the CCT along the contract length.
