Polymer alloys and blends offer an attractive alternative in the development of new polymeric materials. Due to the high cost and the toxicology uncertainty associated with the development of new monomers, most new polymeric materials are now developed through alloying or blending, or by modifying the architecture of the polymer chains ( graft and block polymers, etc. ) .
