- Principle of operation

Material called ferroelectrics absorb thermal

energy which changes spontaneous olarization

generating a surface electrical charge. The

charge is proportional to polarization change.

This phenomenon is called the pyroelectric

effect. A pyrosensor using fine ceramic materials

can detect even the slightest infrared energy

charge, such as that from a human body

Application





Compensated single element type (SSAC10 series)

Detection from any angle of intrusion. Compensating element cancels the effects of sudden vibration or temperature change. Suitable for ceiling mount human body detector, flame detector. NDIR gas detector or radiation thermometer.





Dual element type (SDA02 series)

Best choice for human body detector. Highly sensitive to human body while remaining insensitive to ambient temperature change, vibration or optical noise. This is de to the dual configuration which electrically cancels such effects. Suitable for security burglar alarm, air conditioner control.





4 Qusd element type (REP05 series)

Two independent dual element pyrosensors in combination. By using appropriate optics nuisance alarms from sources such as small animals are much reduced. Provides higher rejection against external noise. Suitable for security burglar alarm.





Omni- directional quad element, one output type RE46 series

Omni directional characteristics is achieved by unique 4element contigaration. Technical merits of single and dual type have successfully met on this model. Suitable for ceiling mount for security burglar alarm or lighting, application.





General purpose dual element type (RE series)

Low cost version lf SDA02series. This model satisfies customer's cost reduction need, keeping most performance of dual element type at reasonable level. Suitable for light switching control. PR display, active information board. etc.





Flat pack dual element type CSL 0x series

Thin, space saving type. Various combination of incident angle and sensor mount surface with various optics is available. Suitable for light switching control.
