The welding is a week point in that the joint cannot be completly checked using x- ray & othermethod. Thus, ensuring the quolity and reliability of the weld against leaks in high pressure and ultra high vacuum application is rather difficult and hence the vonventional method poses limitation for such application. Further the job becomes more and more difficult to fabricates if the tee is to be made with number of branchesand access to welding all the pieces is a problem. With the new technique, however, one can make tee uptosix branches ensurly leak proof joints. The butt, joint provides 100% crevice free welding joints.
