The Engineering & Projects Division (E & P) of Sponge Iron India Limited is fully equipped to render assistance in basic and Detail ed engineering of coal- based Sponge Iron Plants. Expertise is available in setting up of Sponge Iron Plants from the conception stage right upto co mm issioning. It has a well established engineering and drawing office for developing designs and for undertaking necessary engineering work. E & P Division now renders Consultancy services on regular basis for 30, 000 tpy modules and 60, 000 tpy modules for Coal Based Sponge Iron Plants. SIIL can also undertake a contract for setting up a coal- based sponge iron plants on a "turnkey" basis if required by the Customer. Broadly, the scope of services which can be rendered are as follows: a) Preparation of Feasibility Report. b) Preparation of Detail ed Project Report. c) Basic and Detail ed Engineering of the Reduction Unit and connected auxiliary facilities from raw materials receipt and preparation upto storage of finished products. d) Preparation of tender and evaluation of tenders. e) Identification and selection of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation equipment and refractories. f) Inspection services to ensure that the equipment is in accordance with the and also meets the required standards from an operational stand point. g) Assistance in supervision of erection, start- up and co mm issioning. h) Scheduling and monitoring the implementation of the project with assistance in trouble shooting of problems encountered during erection and co mm issioning. i) Assistance in co mm issioning the plant and post- co mm issioning service in optimising plant operations.
