INSTALLING STOVEPIPES
Keep the pipes as short and vertical as possible. If the pipe runshorizontally, this would cool down flue gases causing reduced chimneydraft. Avoid excessive use of elbows; do not use more than two elbowswhile connecting the stove to the chimney other than necessarysituations.
CONNECTING THE PIPES TO THE CHIMNEY
Do not push the connection pipe into the chimney opening too far, this could weaken and even stop the draft. Attach the pipe end securelyto the chimney, assuring that it is rigid and tight. Elevate thehorizontal pipes towards the chimney with a slight inclination.
When removing ash from a stove during or after operation using theash removal knob, keep the bottom ash lid closed to prevent ashes fromspreading throughout the room.
