Buying Aluminium billets according to EN International Standards

6060 40 and/or 6063 50 according to EN International Standards, 140 mm diameter, Primary Round Aluminum Billets, Fully Homogenized, 5800 mm length. Proposed Final Hardness 35-46 Brinell. Use for extrusion of aluminium profiles.

Surface: Fine smooth surface, without marks, dents and visible signs due to the casting process, packaging or transportation.

Uniform cellular grain distribution, with small segregation zones, without macroscopic defects and no inclusions (usually controlled by ceramic filters which are 17'' and less than 250ppi grade).
Good and complete homogenization process: Special emphasis to be given to H2 (very good homogenization) in order to achieve mechanical characteristics

Our homogenization process. We would propose:

•     590 Degrees
•     warm-up (pre-heating) , 2 hours + 20 minutes
•     stay at homogenization temperature, 2 hours + 20 minutes
•     Cooling time, 3 hours
•     Thawing Immediately

Total hardness should be around 35-46 Brinell, when homogenized fully. Please also indicate the carbon footprint per ton.

•    One small sample of 140 mm (or other) diameter, 6060 or 6063, fully homogenized, with courier to do our chemical tests & homogenization tests
