During the times of the Soviet Union in Dnepropetrovsk large Dneprostalkonstruktsiya Scientific- and- Research Institute (now the Metallurgical Academy) functioned. At present it is a valuable source of manpower preparing new specialists for numerous works in Ukraine, Russia and foreign countries.
