Payment: by LC at sight at load port against documents for the 100% value of the shipment cargo. LC should be auto renewable / auto revolving, irrevocable, transferable, operative divisible unconditional assignable, 100% confirmed or issued by anyone of the top 50 prime banks with one month’s value of shipment cargo, valid for the duration of the contract. Buyer has to open the LC within the specified period as would be mentioned in the contract for the full contract period with one month’s value of the shipment cargo general procedure:
1) Buyer sends the loi in his company letter head addressed to the seller.
2) The seller sends SCO in his company letter head against the LOI
3) Buyer will issue ICPO and the seller subsequently issues fco
4) The buyer along with his BCL, sends back the duly signed FCO to the seller
5) On receipt of the buyer’s BCL and signed FCO, the seller sends the SPA.
6) The mutually agreed contract (spa) is signed by both buyer and seller.
6) Buyer opens the LC within the specified period as mentioned in the spa.
7) Seller opens 2% performance guarantee bond for the 1 month value of the cargo to be automatically renewed for each month’s shipment.
8) Quality / quantity verified at the loading port by third party inspection agency as mutually agreed by the buyer and seller. Cost of such third party inspection is borne by seller.
9) Recent dated photographs / videos will be submitted to buyer after signing the spa by buyer and seller.
10) The cargo is shipped as per the spa.
11) First come first serve system is observed in the sales and purchase of the cargo. The whole process inclusive of lc opening to be completed within 7 (seven) working days after signing the spa. The cargo will remain available for the buyer till that time only.
